This is beautiful. Pretty spot on, IMO.

"while sitting on brighton beach (UK) back in 2005 with my new girlfriend, verity, i thought the view of our feet pointing out to sea would make a nice photo. ever since then we’ve continued to document our travels in this way, resulting in a collection of over 100 photos. in 2011 the series took a new twist with the arrival of a third set of feet – our daughter matilda. you can already see her little feet getting bigger and bigger." - text and photos by tom robinson

It’s almost the end of the year. In less than 6 months, I will be turning 26. As they say, it’ll be past the year of quarter-life crises. Thankfully though, I never really got to experience that sort of crisis. Hopefully, I never will.

2012 is about to end, but I must say, it’s been a great year to be 25.

In no particular order, here are 25 Things I’ve Learned at 25:

Out Alive (lyrics transcribed by astoldbyangela)

This city’s gonna break your heart
It’s gonna leave you colder
Bright lights tearing us apart
It’s gonna hurt all over

Honestly, I’m better off lonely
Promises are just pretend
God help this face I’m wearing
God help this skin

We can run, we can hide
We can show off our guns and put on a fight
If it’s love, hold on tight
Hold on tight
Maybe we’ll make it out alive
Maybe we’ll make it

I’m searching for the sound of a heartbeat
And I’m looking for a sign of life
And I can hear it fading now
Lost my strength when you lost your fight

Honestly, we’re better off lonely
Promises are just pretend
God help this faith I’m wearing
God help this place

We can run, we can hide
We can show off our guns and put on a fight
If it’s love, hold on tight
Hold on tight
Maybe we’ll make it out alive
Maybe we’ll make it

There’s gonna be a thousand ways that we could break it
There’ll never be an easy way so I’ll just say it
Cause I know that it’s not over
No matter how hard we try
Now I’m begging for the chance to make it right
Cause you got the best of me
You’ll be the death of me

We can run, we can hide
We can show off our guns and put on a fight
If it’s love, hold on tight
Hold on tight
And maybe we’ll make it out alive
And maybe we’ll make it out alive
And maybe we’ll make it

We can run, we can hide
Oh baby, we’ll make it out alive
We can run, we can hide
Oh baby, we’ll make it out alive
Yeah
We can run, we can hide
Oh baby, we’ll make it out alive (we’ll make it out alive)
We can run, we can hide
Oh baby, we’ll make it out alive

Maybe we’ll make it

This song gets to me EVERY. SINGLE. FRAKKIN. TIME.
Heartfelt, soulful, and flawless.
This is REAL music, y’all.

It’s finally here! <3

The Vision of Love’s Lyric video is finally up! <3

And yay for getting the lyrics right! :D #KristophersSingingDecoded

Colton Dixon - Shelter (Original Song)

I promise—this will be my last American Idol-related post for the day.

Click on the video above for an original song made by Colton Dixon, American Idol Season 11 semi-finalist (and hopefully more than that as the season progresses :P). He sang this last year in Saddleback Church.

Love this song—I’ve gotten goosebumps for the nth time just listening to it. I guess I DO have a thing for Idol contestants singing in church (Yes, Kris Allen, I’m looking at YOU :P).

Colton is one heck of a talented artist. I really hope he goes far into this competition (and win it, perhaps?).
