25 Things I’ve Learned At 25

It’s almost the end of the year. In less than 6 months, I will be turning 26. As they say, it’ll be past the year of quarter-life crises. Thankfully though, I never really got to experience that sort of crisis. Hopefully, I never will.

2012 is about to end, but I must say, it’s been a great year to be 25.

In no particular order, here are 25 Things I’ve Learned at 25:

The latest Coca-Cola commercial: “Find what makes you happy,” featuring a 100-year old man going on a journey to visit his newborn great granddaughter.

Coke’s more recent commercials are seriously making me cry T_T

So, what makes you happy? :)

2012: The Road Ahead

2011 was my year of self-discovery and of exploring the world. It was a year of “Firsts” and of “Many to Come.” It was a year of growing up and growing out. It was a year of seeking worth in all things–of seeing value in intangibles. It was a humbling year filled with lessons to learn and wonders to explore.

(And because I’m probably too lazy to make a rundown of my entire 2011) this was my 2011 summed up in a video:

and in 2012, this will be me:

For 2012, I can sum up my ”Things To Do” List  in three words:

Live. Learn. Love.

Three simple words, yet filled with so much meaning and possibilities.

LIVE

  1. Build my own survival kit/gear (don’t laugh–it may honestly come in handy during the Zombie Attack or Mayan Apocalypse :P)
  2. Leave the office by 5PM at least once a week
  3. Workout every other day until I’ve got a super fit body
  4. Eat healthy and stick to 1,200 calories per day
  5. Spend more time with my family and friends

LEARN

  1. Travel to a country that I’ve never been to before (UK? Germany? Czech Republic? US? Australia? New Zealand?)
  2. Watch a play at least once every 6 months
  3. Re-learn Mandarin, French, and Hokkien and practice it
  4. Save at least 40% of my monthly income
  5. Read at least one book every three months

LOVE

  1. Find time to get back into my love for painting (be it traditional or digital painting) and continue to pursue my love for traveling the world (Eurotrip 2012, anyone? :D)
  2. Show people around me how much I love and appreciate them as often as I can
  3. Continue to support my cause for better education and living for the youth (Interested? You can start off by sponsoring a child at World Vision)
  4. Be kind to the environment and avoid unnecessary consumption of resources (minimize my Ecological Footprint)
  5. Fall in Love and stay in Love. It will decide everything :)

Have an AWESOME 2012! :)
